is again a great pleasure
to "welcome"
you to the Richard Perry
Theater with NCT's 1992
spring musical production
of And We're Still
Here!
We
find this year's show
to be very special as
it not only combines
a variety of broadway's
biggest musical hits
but also highlights
the creative talents
of our directors Betty
Kash and Denise Higgins-Regan.
This
production is NCT's
dream! That is, it encompasses
a mix of those shows
that we had always dreamed
of performing but may
have been a bit too
extravagant for us.
We
want you, our audience,
to know how much we
appreciate your support
and those of our advertisers
because without you
there is no show. This
show concludes our 22nd
season of bringing quality,
affordable entertainment
to our local community
and look forward to
seeing you again at
future productions.

How it
all came about ...
When
Betty Kash and Denise
Higgins-Regan were offered
the project of directing
NCT's spring musical,
they were told that the
membership wanted to do
a show that would give
everyone a chance to perform,
but wouldn't cost the
group a fortune in scenery,
costumes and royalties.
THus, "And We're
Still Here" - a spirited
musical embracing the
hopes and dreams of the
group.
Knowing
what the membership wanted,
Betty and Denise began
researching the shows
they thought would best
showcase the talents of
the group, and would be
an exciting and uplifting
experience for the audience.
To make it new and fresh
to everyone, they have
incorporated shows like
"Les Miserables"
and "Nunsense"
into a program with hit
standards, such as "Gypsy",
"Music Man"
and "Peter Pan".
NCT
has a lot of very talented
people - and it was difficult
to keep the show to an
acceptable length - we
could have gone "on
and on!" But tonight's
finished production is
the end result of lots
of hard work and soul-searching,
and we hope that everyone
enjoys this presentation
as much as we all have
enjoyed working with each
other!
