Narrows Community Theater’s
and Bay Ridge’s
Very Own Dawn Barry-Hansen in “Idol:
The Musical”
Kudos to Bay Ridge’s
own Dawn Barry-Hansen for landing
a role in the new Off -Broadway
musical “Idol:
The Musical”. The show,
playing at the 45th Street Theater
in Manhattan, is a “musical
comedy satire that focuses on the
American Idol show and particularly
on the worship of Clay Aiken”
(one of the finalists on the second
season of the TV show). Ms. Barry-Hansen,
a prominent community figure for
many years, is a long time member
of Bay Ridge’s Narrows Community
Theater. She has had many starring
roles in NCT’s productions
as well as serving as resident choreographer
for the company. Most recently she
had her directorial debut in last
fall’s production of “Jekyll
& Hyde” which received
acclaimed reviews.
“Idol:
The Musical” is playing
at the 45th Street Theater in Manhattan
at 345 West 45th Street, between
Eighth and Ninth Avenues. The run
with Ms. Barry-Hansen begins August
1 thru September 2nd, 2007. Call
