Narrows Community Theater Announces

Narrows Community Theater’s “NCT Ensemble Broadway Review” Performing at the Bay Ridge Relay for Life and Christ Church in Bay Ridge

Members of Narrows Community Theater's Broadway Ensemble Review rehearsing for their upcoming concerts at Shore Hill Community Center, the Bay Ridge "Relay for Life" and Christ church. All in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.Come celebrate a wonderful event and be part of a worthwhile cause! Narrows Community Theater’s song and dance troupe will be performing their “NCT Broadway Ensemble Review” benefit concert and fund raiser for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life on June 16 at 7:30pm at the Fort Hamilton High School Field, 8301 Shore Road, Brooklyn. The performance will feature NCT soloists, ensemble singers, and the NCTDancers, and is under the creative direction of Dawn Barry-Hansen, musical director James Mosser, and choreographer Bieje Chapman.

The ensemble is made up of many gifted soloists from the theater group: Joe Autuoro, Rocco Buonpane, Natalie Fleysher, Tom Kane (of BrooklynOneTheater fame), Ashley Westbrook, and Al Whidden, all of whom were last seen together in NCT’s 2006 production of “Jekyll & Hyde”, as well as the very talented newcomers Jackie Brenneman, Sara Jones, Nicholas Luckenbaugh, and Choreograher Bieje Chapman performaing along with NCTDancers Joe Autuoro & Aurora DreyerIan Pramuk. Song highlights feature familiar hits from theater favorites like Cabaret, Chorus Line, and Annie. The dance troupe includes NCT veterans Joe Autuoro, Karen Pawson, and newcomer Aurora Dreger, who, along with choreographer Bieje Chapman, will delight audiences with their foot stomping celebration of “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and nostalgic “Easter Parade”.

If you miss this performance or want to see it again, you will have a second chance as the troupe will be giving an encore performance on Friday, June 22, at 8pm at Christ Church, 7301 Ridge Boulevard, Brooklyn. The Christ Church performance will additionally feature the premiere of an original dance work, again choreographed by Bieje Chapman, and set to the musical number from the great band era, “Nightmare” by Artie Shaw.
