of the Arts
Narrows Community Theater
Performs at the Bay Ridge Festival
of the Arts
Narrows Community
Theater featured the premiere performance
of their newly formed NCTDancers
in an enchanting ballroom dance
set to Fred and Ginger’s “Easter
Parade” at the Bay Ridge Festival
of the Arts on Thursday, April 19.
The dancing duo was made of the
talented Karen Pawson and Joseph
Autuoro, both of whom have delighted
audiences in past NCT shows. The
concert, under the direction of
Dawn Barry-Hansen and musical direction
of Rudolf Albert, included a number
of gifted soloists from the theater
troupe. They graced the stage with
hit show tunes ranging from old-time
favorites of “Lullaby of Broadway”
and “Guys and Dolls”
to more recent hits from “Les
Miserables” and “Scarlet
Pimpernel”.
The ensemble was
made up of Dawn Barry-Hansen, Natalie
Fleysher, Joe Autuoro, Rocco Buonpane,
George Tsalikis, and Al Whidden.
All displayed both their solo talents
as well as ensemble harmonies. This
entertaining troupe will be performing
again at the Shore Hill Community
Center on June
15 and the Bay Ridge Relay for
Life on June
16.
