The reviews are
in! The huge success of Narrows
Community Theater’s Musical
Audition Workshop held this past
August with veteran director and
theater professional Jay Michaels
has prompted the theater company
to plan a series of future workshops
covering a host of topics of interest
to theater professionals. At the
August workshop, Mr. Michaels demonstrated
a successful musical audition process
and provided tips on what directors
are looking for in an audition.
Selected participants had the opportunity
to perform a “practice”
audition for Mr. Michaels. Utilizing
his suggestions, the auditioners’
performances improved dramatically
along with their confidence level.
At evenings end, the audience unanimously
agreed that it was a great success
and asked for future sessions. Be
on the lookout for notices of upcoming
workshops from NCT, including Singers
Workshop, Monologue Audition, and
Portfolio Presentation.

One-Act Festival Production
“Let’s Call Him Mac
Beth”
Narrows Community
Theater performers will be featured
at the One-Act Festival presented
by Brooklyn-One-Theater, on September
15th and 16th at 7pm. They will
be performing an original updated
one-act play entitled “Let’s
Call Him Mac Beth”, a winning
selection submitted by a local high
school student. All festival performances
to be held at RAY’S COMEDY
LOUNGE on 96th Street and 3rd Avenue,
Brooklyn.

Celebratory Gala at the Fort Hamilton
Army Base Community Club. Former
members as well as anyone with past

& Hyde”

NCT is in preproduction
for “Jekyll & Hyde”,
book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse
and music by Frank Wildhorn. “Jekyll
& Hyde” is pure pulse-pounding
theatre, with a lush, romantic pop
score that includes the hit songs
"This is the Moment" and
"Someone Like You."
We are thrilled to be producing
this show, a new one for our company
and to bring new and old audiences
in Bay Ridge great entertainment.
